SOONER FOOTBALL!

Going to the Sooner football game + cold weather + Broncos win + Rockies in the playoffs + JJ + Old Chicago + Couples Retreat movie + pumpkin pie = GREAT FALL WEEKEND!

I couldn't be happier tonight. Reviewing some good ol BM notes and discussing them, not only reminded me of God's goodness, but it encouraged me in so many ways. God really does know what he's doing. He really does have a plan. And while I might not always know it, He does and I can rest in that.

"God is just as purposeful to what He doesn't reveal, as to what He does reveal. He doesn't reveal because He's calling you to faith. And then there will be a dramatic show of His glory."

Oh I hope so! And deep down, I know so.... He will again show Himself as faithful as He has done so many other times in the past. And again I'll see how He had it all lined up, just like He planned and has always promised.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Last night I started the Beth Moore study Esther... and I don't think I've ever been more excited and felt that I needed a study more! This one just pertains to exactly what has been on my heart over the last year and I can't wait to get to work! On my way home last night I called Mom and told her that I just wanted to do all of my homework in one night I was so excited! Maybe one of the greatest things is that Mom is doing the study too... so we'll be covering some ground here in Okla and 13 hours away in Colo! Here's one of my favorite quotes to start off the study and one that I would love to claim by the end of it...

"You may have met people who have done a better job at being a woman, but you have never met anyone who enjoyed it more!"

My Girls

Tonight I had my little girls and every week I just fall more in love with them! I sat there tonight looking around the table wondering what was going on in their minds. I tried to remember what I went through back in 8th grade and I couldn't image the gorgeous, sweet girls looking at me being as grown up as I thought I was back then. It scared me to think of the challenges they face each day and it made me just want to get on my knees and pray for the strength that they will need in the years to come. Such amazing innocent hearts they have! They remind me how great life is and how great it is to trust people with your whole heart because you haven't had any reason not to.... oh if i could just approach life the way they do! Thank you Father for the blessings that these girls bring to my life!

I found this quote today and fell in love with it. It amazes me the desires God has placed in us as his created children for adventure, for joy, for purpose. Every human on earth craves each of these, and yet they cannot be fully complete without first going to our Creator for fulfillment. Isn't God so good to allow us to partake in this adventure, His joy, and a greater purpose than ourselves? What a privilege i want to be reminded of each day...

New Study

I'm totally pumped! Mom, Steph, and I decided to start a new study together called "Me, Myself, and Lies" and while at first I wasn't very excited about BM's pick of material, I now realize how great this will be! First of all, I would have never chosen this on my own and so I feel like all this study can do is blast my expectations out of the water and be a great experience! Second, I am just so excited to be doing this with those closest to me! It'll be so neat to see what is on their hearts and minds! Let the journey begin....

Attitude...

I've heard this before but totally needed to hear it again the other day when it was emailed to me. Now if only I can remember it throughout my day! :)

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
